Dominican University student does autism research at Alexian Brothers
Dominican University Junior Tim Lazicki has been conducting neuroscience research at Alexian Brothers Medical Center since January 2009, working alongside Dr. Jeffrey Lewine. Several of his research projects have focused on the neural mechanisms of autism, and he received a W. Joseph Gartner Memorial Scholarship of 00 from ARRISE Centers, Inc. for his autism research.
TGen & Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC)
Autism’s underlying cause is not known and no biological diagnosis currently exists. tgen’s comprehensive research program is geared toward uncovering the genetic basis for autism. tgen’s partnerships with the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) and the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE) have provided greater opportunities to collaborate more robust genetic studies to identify the genetic mutations.
